- Her first album was a very interesting and fresh patchwork work of art, poetry, voice, energy and humour, a real pleasure to listen to, even though I much prefer electronic music and always tend to head into that direction (trying to stay away from and usually not being interested in the mainstream). Nevertheless, Miss Nash managed to lure me into her fantastic little world of making the 'every day' happenings into something quite pleasurable indeed.
Her second album did not meet the standards that I felt the first album reached. This is of course very personal because I am talking about my standards here. I love the track entitled 'I just love you more'. To me, this would be an interesting direction for her to move into, reminiscent of 80's metal bands, showing a real creative use of voice and using the art of screaming as a form of singing. Wow.
But then rest of the tracks, in my view, just lack that something special that her name was infused with thanks to her first album. I felt that the tracks were all infected with her somewhat negative experiences of being a star and being confronted with the ego-centric world of the star, not to mention with stress and the people she cannot stand. I don't think that she feels very comfortable in that world and it shows through her music, just as her first album was saturated with her experiences prior to becoming a star.
She definitely has a super voice. She has incredible potential. She is young and beautiful. But what will she do with it all?
